Oil is high and sudden hits new record in New York

The price of oil has risen súbida of U.S. $ 5 this Monday (16) and reached the record price of $ 139.89 a barrel in the negotiations of the New York Merchantile Exhange (Nymex).

At the Nymex, a barrel for delivery in July closed the floor to $ 134.86, with a low of $ 1.88 on Thursday (12). In London, a barrel for delivery in July (last day of quotation) sold U.S. $ 1.84, closing at $ 134.25.

"The dollar remains an important factor for the market, and there is no doubt that a strong dollar pressing prices," explained Eric Wittenauer, analyst at Wachovia Securities consultancy.
