Montanhista if sacrifices to save woman and friend in the U.S.

SEATTLE, USA - A Romanian mountaineer lost her life on Wednesday, August 11, to lie on the snow to protect a woman and friend of the cold.

The trio escalava the Monte Raineir when it was surprised by a snow storm. When you take account that no longer could find the way back, the mountaineers escavaram with their hands a trench in the snow.

Eduard Burceag of 31 years, deitou in the snow and his two companions damaged on top of him. When they suggested exchange of place, Burceag refused claiming he was well. The Mariana Burceag survived the storm, as well as the friend of the couple, Daniel Vlad, 34 years.

"The refusal may have saved the lives of women and friend," said Kevin Bacher, speaker of the national park where the mountain is located.
Kevin Hammonds, an official of the rescue team that attended the park to call for assistance at 3:30 a.m. on Tuesday, August 10, described the storm as the worst he has ever seen.

Despite the visibility near zero, Hammonds and a colleague went in search of mountaineers. They find something like a rock in an unusual location, and with the aid of binoculars, can understand that the object is mexia. They were the three mountaineers who were protected from the storm.

When the trio was redeemed. Mariana Burceag was aware, but said things without consistency. Her husband was already unconscious and no pulse. Mariana was heated and brought to the base camp. An hour later, the rescue team returned to the site to search for Eduard Burceag, but attempts to reanimá it had no success.
